Grid-Tied Solar
Grid-tied photovoltaic systems are connected to the electricity grid at all times. They offset daytime electricity consumption by supplementing electricity from the grid with photovoltaic solar electricity when the sun is shining. These systems do not feed power back into the grid unless a legal framework for power feed-in is available.
